Treatwell · compared

Looking for a Treatwell alternative? Start with the 35%.

At 35%, Treatwell charges more on a new client’s first booking than any other platform we compared — Booksy’s Boost is 30%, Fresha and Vagaro take 20%. It is also the one that publishes the commission but not the subscription.

Both of those are worth knowing before a demo call. Here is what its own partner pricing page says, checked on the date shown.

The bit worth reading twice

They publish the 35%. They do not publish the price.

Treatwell takes 35% of a new client’s first booking through the marketplace. Repeat bookings are 0%, and online prepayments carry 2.5% on top.

The subscription is a different matter. There are Freelancer and Advanced plans, but no price for either appears on the public pricing page. You find out what you will pay by talking to somebody.

That is not an accusation of anything — plenty of software is sold that way. It does mean you cannot work out your own monthly cost before you commit an afternoon to it, which is exactly the sum this page exists to do for you.

Moshee

No commission. No card fees — the money goes bank to bank, so it never becomes a card transaction. No text costs, because texts send from your own phone.

Being fair about it

What you are paying for.

Treatwell is a large consumer brand with a lot of people browsing it, and Advanced includes unlimited staff at no extra cost, which is unusual and genuinely useful for a bigger team.

If the marketplace fills your column, 35% once on a first visit may well be worth it, and only you can judge how much of your work arrives that way. The sum only turns against Treatwell when most of your clients already knew your name. Moshee is £16 a month, published, with no commission on anybody.

Common questions

How much does Treatwell charge?

Treatwell does not publish what its software costs. The commission is published — 35% on a new client’s first booking through the marketplace, 0% on repeat bookings, and 2.5% on online prepayments — but the subscription is quote-only, so the full monthly figure cannot be worked out from public information. We have left it as "not published" rather than guess.

What is the Treatwell commission?

35% of a new client’s first booking via the marketplace. That is the highest headline commission of any platform on our comparison page. Repeat bookings are 0%, so the charge lands once per new client.

Is Treatwell free for salons?

No, and it is not possible to say what it costs. There is a commission of 35% on new marketplace clients plus a subscription Treatwell does not publish. On the example month above the commission alone comes to at least £94.50, before whatever the software is quoted at.

What does Moshee charge instead?

£16 a month, flat, published on the website where anyone can read it without booking a call. No commission at any rate, no card fees, no text costs. Seven days free first, without a card.
